Please Help

Back

There are lots of ways that you can support Laos and there are 3 amazing organizations across the world that are on the ground in and around Luang Prabang. If you are anywhere in the world there is a charity who are committed to providing support into Northern Laos.
Donate to a chosen charity and you could gain a tax deduction in your local country. Each of these organizations have worked in Laos for over 10 years and the passionate international CEOs donate their time and their funds to travel to be on the ground to really understand the complexities. All work through the local Laos team at the Luang Prabang library led by the amazing Mrs. Chantha Souliyasak.

2) Laos Solidarity or Eau Laos Solidarite
Laos Solidarity has worked with Luang Prabang Library’s Outreach Program since 2010. Registered in France under the name Eau Laos Solidarité, the organisation writes hygiene books for children & teenagers. Trained educators from Luang Prabang Library hold puberty workshops in secondary schools, thus helping to keep girls in school. It also trains rural teachers and nurses in Menstrual Hygiene Management. Why is managing menstruation at school so important? Because knowledge about periods may keep a girl in school, and out of child marriage. Today, we have reached over 100 000 adolescent girls with vital knowledge about periods and personal hygiene.
